‘We use it appropriately’: Marles dodges questions about taking golf clubs on official flights

Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles in Question Time has dodged questions about whether he took golf clubs with him on official flights via special purpose aircraft.

Mr Marles hit back by calling out the Opposition’s alleged requests for the special aircraft to watch a Maltildas soccer match.

“The special purpose aircraft are an important capability which facilitates government travel, we use it appropriately,” he said during Question Time on Monday.

“It reeks of hypocrisy.”

By virtue of not answering the question, Marles obviously takes his golf clubs on RAAF jollys at the tax payers expense. Labor is a handicap to Australia.
