I had a remote that stopped working today. Changed batteries and nothing worked. This video then popped up on my phone. (How strange) followed your video. Restarted firestick, then put batteries in remote. I then pressed a button on remote to confirm still nothing but wow it worked. I did not have to go through the home button holding section. Thank you very very much. Saved me going to buy another remote. I do have one that done the same a while ago and I replaced the remote.
