Krog was a villain and a despicable one at that but, while most villains are cowards who only ever battle the weaker, he actually fought rather bravely against opponents much larger than him, one of them being a Hulkoid giant who destroys shit with a single blow.

The words that came to mind were 'wild' and 'brutal'. Which I recall was actually how it was a lot of the time in Samurai Jack as well. Even though Jack himself was measured and generally calm, combat is chaos.
In this series, all the fighters are wild, brutal and, well, primal. It's just impressive to watch.
