Gennedy Tartakovsky has done something right when he created Primal and won 5 Emmy awards.

This show, has the ability to entertain as well as feel emotion, without ever saying a word other than dinosaur roars. Genndy needs a lot more awards for this show. Give this man as much creative freedom possible and enjoy the ride.

Genndy Tartakovsky understands animation so well. He is the best at combining aesthetic and minimal exposition into a story.

Finally, the first season was so intense. Not a single word said and better story telling than 95% of shows out today

Tartakovsky nails anything he touches, Samurai Jack, Star Wars, Primal, his animation is simple, but has so much character and momentum

So based on this trailer, it looks like Primal is set in a world that not only combines many prehistoric periods but also more recent ages like the Iron Age. There seems to be at least 3 different major civilisations shown that resemble Egyptian, Persian and Scandinavian people. There's one shot of what looks like a metal axe, and given its colouration its likely made of iron so we're almost certainly looking at Iron Age levels of technology in this world.

Genndy Tartakovsky is a national treasure for keeping animation alive and showing it is not just for kids! Love his work! Thank you Adult Swim for allowing him to make such an amazing show like Primal!

This probably the best show on TV right now.
It's done way better than most of the top live action shows out now.
It's beautiful, brutal, and thought provoking.
So much emotion and drama,
Yet so few words.
That's not a fault either,
I wish I there were at least 2 more shows in existence right now that could evoke all the feelings that Primal makes me feel.
The "nest" scene in S2 Ep6 had me feeling like Spear when they found Mira...
happy & hopeful.

Primal is probably the craziest show I’ve ever witnessed. I have no idea how Spear went from fighting a Kaiju-sized Ceratosaurus to fighting a godlike being but I am here for it

Just noticed that the Viking Chieftan father is at the feet of the horned god at 0:31 confirming that he survived episode 6. Also wonder if the Chieftan gets transformed into the burning figure at 0:34 ?

I’m glad that shows like Primal, Arcane, Invincible and Love Death & Robots exist just to show the animation industry that we want more adult animation that uses its medium for more mature storytelling that aren’t lame Family Guy or Rick & Morty clones.

The first season left me emotionally devastated several times over.
I've since recovered. Bring on Season 2.

We went from fighting zombies, witches and werewolf dinosaurs to fighting a literal demon or satan himself. This just gets better and better, i'm already hopefully waiting for season 3.

Rip and Tear, until it's done.

Genndy Tartakovsky is a master storyteller. In the entire first season of Primal the main character utters just a single word of dialogue and the show is still more entertaining and compelling than whole franchises from other creators and studios.

I stumbled upon Primal while perusing Twitter and desperately needed a new series to watch. The premise and the animation intrigued me enough and the moment I watched the first episode I was absolutely obsessed. The animation is gorgeous, the directing is as immersive and dynamic as a George Miller action flick, the violence is shocking, but at its core is this ironclad bond between a man and a dinosaur that may sound like a Disney movie but this is far from it. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen and I can’t wait for season 2. Brava!

The first thing about Primal that struck me was how the artstyle was the same as beloved Sym-Bionic Titan, Genndy Tartakovsky's previous show and it was good and cool especially Lance!! I wish he would make another season for it after 11 years!! One of the last great shows of Cartoon Network

Can’t wait to see Spear fight humans now. Spear’s entire thing is that he’s smart enough to think through situations, adaptable enough to know what and what not to do in a new environment, and he’s incredibly resourceful, making those armored bugs into gauntlets on the fly when he was attacked by hyenas. Now Spear is gonna get those same things used against him by a lot more people

Season 1 is one of the best debut seasons of any television program I have ever watched.
I have been a casual fan of GT, somewhat/entirely obliviously, but Primal Season 1 is an achievement of a VERY special kind, variety, and/or magnitude. I am not religious, but I would pray if it meant Primal Season 2 would maintain the level of excellence that season 1 achieved. That is how outstanding I found it. ( FYI....Not a big animation guy here. This show would be the only one in my top 20 of the last decade that is animated.) (edit: and its in my top 5)

The second season hasn't even aired yet and I already want every frame of this trailer as wallpapers. Genndy Tartakovsky is a genius!
