What sort of scarring is there after an umbilical hernia surgery? Also, do you do surgery for spigelian hernias?

I also have diastasis recti a.k.a (muscle separation) in my abdomen probably from pregnancy or c section.

What about allergy to prolene?  I have had miserable and violent reaction to prolene sutures before.  The mesh is made of the same material.  How do I prove this allergy to justify a biologic bovine based mesh to repair my hernia?

Hi Dr. Harris, I have seen a surgeon and been told I have a small umbilical hernia but I'm confused because to me my bellybutton looks normal and all he did was slightly press his finger in my bellybutton and said he felt it but instead I have this bulge/lump that keeps appearing actually in my abdomen next to bellybutton area but not actually on the bellybutton...and my stomach feels uncomfortable and like warm all the time and I didn't really have this problem going on before

I had a c section three years ago and I don't know if that has something to do with it or not, like muscles became weak over time resulting in a hernia or something like that? Not sure but all I know is my stomach doesn't feel normal anymore the way it use to and it kind of feels like something is always weighed down in my stomach sensation and I'm so confused because I have been to many doctors with different imaging tests and nothing really has shown but I know the way my body use to feel vs how it feels now and the amount of discomfort I feel everyday, I'm scared because I'm worrying I will be feeling this way forever :(

Sir, in a middle-aged man, is it possible to have excessive stretching on the abdominal wall and cause the navel to bulge? Or is it always a hole or tear in the abdominal wall that causes the navel to bulge? Also, can a navel bulge possibly be anything else? I have no discomfort when bending or lifting. Please let me know from your experience. Thank you.
