I honestly am fine with Sims 5 not happening. What the game was building up to me was very concerning given microtransactions, heavily-online multiplatform gameplay, etc. The Sims 4 certainly had a rocky 10 years.

Tbh I didn't have much faith in the Sims 5. I was waiting for Life by You, which got cancelled just before EA. I just hope ParaLives will deliver in the genre because we NEED something new.

Lindsey never said it would be Sims 5. She said Project Rene will coexist with Sims 4. So I don't get it why people assume this would be TS5 It's funny to me because she never said that.🙄 EA just increased the minimum requirement for TS4 they are not planning to drop it anytime soon. There is also a Project Dolores they are working on. They canceled Rene for Consoles. But Project Rene sounds to be more a spin-off like Urbz or Sims Medieval. I simply cannot understand why people assume this is next gen. Lindsay statet this even in an interview after the last behind the sims.

It does specifically say ps5, so i wonder if they just decided to not work on a console version? at any rate i dont think a lot of people are excited about the direction EA has taken the sims so i wonder how well sims 5/project renee are actually going to do if either of them come out.

This was to be expected. People keep buying Sims 4 packs which makes it useless to create a whole new game if their profits still high.
