Emotionally I’ve been braving it alone for the last two decades. It was a conscious decision though. I knew I was strong enough to emotionally do it. He would be there for his part though in most other ways. So I was fine with it. It wasn’t until the birth of my first child that I realized how solitary things were going to be. I told the doctor what I thought the complication was, and she smirked at me. When she left the room I asked my husband if he believed me. He said I don’t know what to think. Then it dawned on me that I was alone. I was my own advocate. It made me stronger. He’s book smart but with common sense and street smarts he doesn’t have a clue. We all have blind spots. It's so weird how much effort I put into this journey the last 3 years to reach full union with my twin but now I don't actually want him. 2 soulmates came back into my life in the last month and one was very dear to me before all of this. We will meet up again 5 years later this week and we are both looking forward to it. We have everything we need for a life together and we both are ready for a healthy relationship.
