I love untangling SOH. It is so calming. I would love to get hold of that knot at the lower parts of yours. Ha!

I bought my first VSOH last summer and it was very leggy, so I just did kind of what you did and wrapped the vines around in the soil to see if it would get more full. And it worked! I was always intimidated by these because they look so delicate. But they’re ridiculously easy to care for. Yours are so amazing and full! Hopefully one day mine looks the same. Great video Jeff! (but please sharpen your pencil 😂)

I chuckled over your "apparently I need new pruning shears" comment. Yep, nothing like discovering stuff like this when doing a demonstration! Keep up the good work!

My mom bought me a VSOH last october and it's at least doubled in length and volume. It's constantly flowering. I untangled it all today because I want to propagate some strands and it took me almost 2hrs to untangle it all! I'm going to fill up a prop box with butterfly clippings and see what happens. Have a couple in water too, but I don't like having to transition from water to soil.

Also threw cuttings in moss prop box and after it rooted. I threw the moss and plants on top of pot and roots grew into the soil in the pot.

Hi! Thank you for this video! I am so curious as to how it went with the clippings you put in the soil to fill out the foliage … how does the plant look now? 🤓

We have been renovating our bathroom, my SOH was sitting on top of a box since the summer. I just picked it up today. The strings grew into the box and around all the stuff. It’s about 6 feet of light green strings. Hopefully it gets darker. Thanks for all the great tips, I may have to propagate mine soon.

Beautiful plants. I’ve propagated in moss and kept it moist. They rooted well. But your water roots look amazing.
Thanks Jeff!

Wow, your SoH's has gotten sooo long! It's beautiful. I'm kinda jealous because I've been waiting for months for the Home Depot, Lowe's or nursery near my house to get these in and no luck. It's at the top of my wishlist. Anywho, thanks for sharing n have a good one, Jeff!😇🙏

My sister-in-law gave me a tiny/scrawny plant, but I’m excited to have it. I trimmed it a bit and put some tiny leaf cuttings on spag moss in a clear covered container…sort of a mini greenhouse. The cuttings are growing and I think it’s time to put them in a small pot so I will take your advice and put them in small terracotta pot with well draining cactus mix 🤞also I didn’t know they liked so much sun so that is helpful. I’m going to also cut more vines and try water in the future. 🙏 for another great video. On a separate note…I believe I have my first thrips sighting 😮 I had a monstera that had been on the decline and so I chopped the whole thing down. I put some nodes with leaves in water and some wet sticks in moss. I also have the original pot chopped all the way down with only one leaf. I was looking at the leaves in the water and noticed a clump of something on the underside and after I got my magnifying glass I could see the off white elongated bug Those leaves hit the trash in seconds!! OMG thankfully it was a large plant I kept in its own pot sort of away from all the rest. I’m wondering if I should just dump the pot of soil in the compost or wait and see? What do you think?

wow! I never had luck propagating in water. Or maybe i am impatient LOL, I had great success with the butterfly method. Which is basically what you did at the end there with the 2 leaf cutting and the tuber :)

Such a beautiful plant and a great video. It's a great plant for propagation. Just cutting the stems or a pair of leaves (butterfly method) and planting them directly in the soil is the best way to propagate them and have a fuller pot 💜I propagate mine every spring

Should the be propagating in warm temp? I have mine in soil, with cover, but I felt my room was too cold for them to propagate correctly

So pretty and healthy. I'm so jealouse. Mine just died because of overwatering. 😅. Now I need to buy a new one!

Hi there! I’m a new subscriber and I just found your channel from a comment you left on another channel.
I love my String of Hearts! I haven’t tried to propagate it yet but I’ll probably do it in the Spring, just to make my pot a bit fuller.
Thank you for sharing! 💜💚🪴🌵
