Just wanted to add that you can propagate the leaves if you put them in moss in a prop box

Great video. My SOH takes forever to root in water. It has been almost 3 weeks. No roots in sight. *sigh*

I own three different SOH. I have normal, Variegated, and Silver Glory. I have a few normal ones as I ordered 6 cuttings that I split up between a couple different pots. I have two 4 inch pots of Variegated (the one I got around 9/29 and it’s already got four different points it’s pushing out new hearts!). The Silver Glory I only have one 4 inch pot of and I got that about two weeks ago and it’s already pushed out three different points of new growth. I have all mine under a Feit grow light and they it! Your SOHs is beautiful!

My original plant didn't make it, I don't think. Just kept going downhill. Recovered a bit then just died. When I got it I took strands to propegate so I have those. The vines just dried out on the bulbs/tubers. Was looking why they all looked so shriveled. And wasn't good so I had to take it all out the pot. Roots on the tubers are healthy the vines just weren't. Not sure if it was the trellis damaging them as it came with it. Trying to restart them but I don't hold out any hope on that. I don't know how other people's look so good. Haha mine was just like nope.

I got my first string of hearts from the plant chica too. The leaves on my plant were super thin too. However I recently got another plant from a friend who sells them and the leaves are THICK!!! Definitely makes sense now as to why people say they are like succulents. Not sure why some plants have thinner leaves. I pretty much almost killed my first one. It was super fragile. I prefer the thick leaves.

Your string of hearts Nicole is so beautiful, my cuttings that I got were just one leaf and a 2 inch stem, I got 6 of them, and I tried rooting them in water, and then planting them in soil, it would have been so much nicer if the cuttings were a bit longer. Half of them rooted and two are about 6 inches long and the other one is about 4 inches long, hopefully some day it will be a fuller plant, as they get longer I will trim them and propagate in water and add to the plant to make it fuller. Love the string of hearts, I have both variegated and non variegated and the variegated is so slow to grow
It’s so hard to keep the strings from detangling( they need conditioner lol)
