At least he didn’t eat LECA this time 🫠

When it comes to propagating String of Hearts, I find it much easier to root in soil rather than in moss and you don’t need to worry about transitioning to soil! The key for me was keeping the soil consistently moist with lots of bright light.

This is basically the story of every succulent I've ever owned. 😂 The bunch I have now are actually healthy and growing like crazy... 🤞Hope they stay that way!

I had a string of pearls that was THRIVING. This was before I knew anything about plants, and my mom got it for me because I'd just killed another succulent she got me. Then I read online that strings of pearls are hard to keep alive and I think the plant sensed my stress and died.

Today I discovered rotted bromeliad and laughed it off, more easily thanks to your virtual solidarity ♡

Bought my String of Hearts out of pity last year bc it was in the darkest place of the shop, drowning and covered in plastic. She's gotten real big and is flowering rn💕

I had a spider plant with gorgeous baby spiders, I took it down from its hanger for a shower and then put it on my bed, forgot the hanger so went and got it…. Only to come back to find both baby spiders on the floor and my pet duck looking super proud of herself 😭

I’ve been very lucky. I just let mine fully dry and it’s been in the same spot for almost a year.

I half expected you to say, and then I rotted them again... but baby stomping on them is not your fault, so no problem at all :)

Ceropegia etc are just really picky. As someone who grows "difficult" plants, id say these are signifigantly more picky/needy.

Brings back memories of my son driving his little cars through my floor plants like it was some jungle and hiding his little soldiers in the leaves.
When that wasn't enough for him, he'd take the dirt out and drive on the rug.😳
He's 23 now, maybe 🤔 I can have big floor plants again 😂

Your baby had a personal grudge with these plants

I need string of heart tips! Mine are so sparse and just one vine grows.

This is my string of pearls, except instead of a baby stomping on it was mealy bugs!

I did the same thing with adding the propagations to the top but mine keep rotting! How do you keep yours from doing that?

What kind of soil do you use for the string of things?

Did you trade the baby for a new plant lol

Are string of hearts difficult to care for? I’m thinking of getting one but I’m new to plants. I really only care about watering and light
