Own one of these. 3 point turns are a thing of the past. Can hold its own on the motorway no problem. The boot lid has a compartment within for extra storage.

I freaking love my 1st gen 453!!! I live in Georgia where 70mph roads are common, but my little turbo has absolutely not only no problem and leaves almost all other vehicles (especially the spiffy pickups) in the dust at the light. It is a blast to leave Chargers and Mustangs spinning their wheels while I am "down the road" already.

While the Smart ForTwo isn't the manliest car, something about it's size makes it look like a joy to drive. The looks have improved as well. I didn't mind the old look, but this new look give it more character. If I ever move to my family in Hungary or live somewhere in Europe, this would be a pretty good pick for a car.

Had 2 Smart cars now and they are marvellous cars, wouldn't change to any other now (live uk and am a female school bus driver, so one minute I am driving a manual bus and next an automatic wonderful Smart car) Thank you for this review!

Mat got the generation wrong. It's the third generation Fortwo, not second.

You have an option to have your speedometer in Digital display. (First thing I done when I got mine) Motorway driving is absolutely Normal, doesn't feel any different to any other car. Loving my New Smart.
