Am I the only one here who doesn't really care about safety features?

Subbed. Really miss the short classic videos of youtube with everyone extending to 10min even if there is nothing to be said. Also the visuals were great. keep it going.

I own a 1964 Mercury Montclair. Its a 2 door hardtop. I've been fixing it up over the past few months, and I should finally be driving it in a couple more months. It will my my daily driver.

I have a 1993 Celica GT, love it. Its almost a classic and its a joy to drive compared to my other car a 2010 Acura MDX. It also has about 58000 miles, yes I spent some money reconditioning it but wow!

1: put gloves on
2: take your time and budget
3: safety on the road is EVERYONE'S responsibility
4: consider an upholstery update... it's a classic car
5: consider doing a resto-mode to update suspension ect.

I daily drive a 1980 Citroën Dyane 6-B, not a fast car but after fitting an electronic ignition to it is THE MOST reliable car ever, I just fill the tank and go... Just checking it and chainging oil once a year and that's all, I'm driving more than 20.000 kms a year with it and I'm very pleased. Of course it is not a fast car and in long trips it can be annoying driving it... Well, that's not a problem, I don't use to drive in long trips, even I've driven more than 500 kms in one trip sometimes, I use it for work, to go to the countryside and daily driving arround my town, but when I need to go far away I use a 1969 spanish-made Dodge Dart GT 3700, a big, comfortable car, with nice heater and air conditioning, which is an extremely wonderful and fast cruiser, yes... It is a "thirsty" car but, its not everyday you take long trips so, when I do, the car is perfect for it. I just wouldn't change them for anything, they're a whole experience everytime you're behind their wheel!

Bought a 1989 Mazda RX-7 FC turbo II S5 this summer, and it has AC and power windows. All the maintenance I do is premixing on fuel ups. I also topped up brake fluid once the parking light stayed on and wouldn't go off even with no handbrake. That fixed it. Other than that nothing else than having oil changed and tire changes.

I think my 1966 Ford F250 is really comfortable but the seat is redone. It's still the factory seat though. It's not been really cost prohibitive to drive either it even gets close to 14 MPG which isn't much worse than a brand new truck. As far as repairs the only thing so far has been a U joint, although when I bought it I did have to get new tires and fix the speedometer.

The reasons are true. I have a '86 Audi 90 2.2 5 cylinder, when i bought it it had hidden rust, had to replace a lot of parts, weeer parts are still available new but other parts are rare It use a lot of fuel but it's fun to drive it, it's fast, handles good, it's comfortables, it sounds nice but for me the suspension is to soft in corners and will be replaced with Bilstein Shocks

i have an 1995 audi a6 c4. Still not an oldtimer, but drive it daily, 400.000 kms and goes and goes, but it has much electronics, so i will buy some bmw e30 or benz w201 or maybe some older audi like 80 b2 or 100 c2 :) . Parts for my car are pretty expensive but only because i repaired it at a stealership. So i will get proper tools and work by myself

Bit more work and my Mk1 fiesta will be become my favourite car ever. With the expensive classic recaro seats, it will NOT be uncomfortable 😊

I like safety features
And radios
And non leaking seals
And reliability
And ABS
And Power steering
And Disc Brakes
And electric windows
But that’s no fun. So I bought a 1980 mini clubman as a first car :)

"Won't have air conditioning" Well, at least the one I'm looking at has it, and heat, 1962 Ford Thunderbird, now I just need to gather up the savings to buy one, since it seems whenever I see one for sale around my area, it's always totally restored, and like $30, 000, but that's what I get for living in Michigan I suppose, all the car guys around, there's no work left for me to do on them, haha xD
