Thank you Lord from Iceland, exactly, you're more than right! The A6700 is such a great deal. I'm doing video in all resolutions and frame rates, live music event photography and live-streaming, the A6700 is fantastic at all that. Yes, it's not full frame as my A7III but I'll seldom make large prints out of the footage I make, and that extra reach with full frame lenses (especially the Tamron 35-150mm) is a game changer for me. I'm considering an FX-30 later on so that's going to be a killer combo.

I was torn between the a7 IV and the a7C II. To my surprise, my medium-sized hands immediately liked the a7C II much better than the a7 IV. The deeper grip on the a7 IV (markedly deeper than on the a7 III) may be good for people with bigger hands who want to use bigger and heavier lenses. But for a casual hobbyist who wants to carry light and small, the a7C II is a dream come true.

I actually bought the a6700 because of your first impression of it in an old video. It’s by far the best APS-C body I ever had. Great ergonomics, super customizable functions and buttons, great ibis and superb image quality. Now I replaced my FF for a Z6III and I’m still wondering to this day if I missed the train on the a7cii… But I have to admit, Nikon bodies are well built! Strongs and durable, not always the case with Sony. I remember getting an old NEX-6 wet in the snow, the back wheel ceased clicking, it costed me few hundred dollars to fix, I was mad.

I've had the a6000, a6100, a6400 and currently have the a6500. It's quite odd that almost everyone ignores the a6500 or they barely mention it. Yet, it has some awesome video and still features. And because its all but ignored, you can get a used one in new-like condition for a good price.

I bought my first real ILC a month ago, a Sony a6700 with the 70-350mm G (for plane spotting/airshows) and could not be happier. The autofocus and AI subject recognition are ridiculous. My technique sucks and I'm not the best at manual settings, but I get lots of keepers because the camera is so capable.

I just bought all brand new everything; A6400 ($650) Tamron 17-70 ($480) and Rokinon 12mm ($150) two weeks ago on eBay! 😎 This is after running my moms hand me down Canon T3i with kit lens for past 10yrs lol

Sold my zv-e10 ii and got the a6700. Was happy about the zv at first but playing around with the a6700 filming and taking photos i’m super impressed even as an amateur 😅

This was my first camera choice, i was going to go with the A6000 but it seems this is only a bit more expensive and it's much better spec'd, plus it has better build quality. I am really happy with this camera, it's truly brilliant.

I have a Sony a6700 which has been a very welcome upgrade from a6000 and the a6400. I am considering going for the A7C II... Hard to decide as I have been an APS-C shooter for well over a decade...

Its easier than ever. There are so many great cameras, from many brands and this extends back almost a decade. If you are buying your first camera it barely matters what you buy from lists of "good" cameras. Any of them will work.

I use the a7iii with the samyang 35-150 f2-2.8 as the pro setup, the ZV-E10 with the kit lens or a 35mm as a compact APSC for street photography or light travelling and a Sony RX100VA for a compact pocket camera when I don't carry a bag. I'm good on every front now😅
