9:20 For automatic gear selection to work you need to put the car in park and get out of the car otherwise will keep your last selection

Just a tip for hands free autopilot driving: You don’t need to jerk the steering wheel to tell the car you’re paying attention, just set the right scroll wheel up or down by one increment and it’ll reset the warning message.

As someone who has owned a Model 3 for 3 years and have spoken with tons of people who also own a 3/Y, nobody ever complains about the need for a dashboard/heads-up display after the first week. You just get used to it and it's not a big deal at all. In fact the clear bolded number in the corner is easier to see than some dashboards that are horribly convoluted.

What an amazing location to film actually. Looks so so good with the raindrops and in that garage. I really never seen it that pretty on the pictures. Nice review!

Finally, I've always preferred the model S over the 3 because I never liked the head lights on the 3, this is a great redesign

A great review. Your previous thoughts on the previous version of the Model 3 caused me to buy a Model Y instead. I test drove both and realized that the Y had a much nicer ride. Nice to finally see Lia. Keep up the good work!

I love how the girlfriend silently grabs the handle in fear on the acceleration in the rain lol. You should feature her more, it's always nice to watch a good team!

FYI, when you push the wiper button on the wheel you have the notification pop up on the lower left of the screen but you can select the wiper speed using the left scroll wheel (left, right push), so without touching the screen.

Extensive review with all of the strengths and weaknesses clearly delineated. It is quite obvious that Tesla is on the best track to become a really good car, and not just an electric vehicle !

Best car ever. Tesla is lightyears ahead of any competition. I have test driven all the cars from the competition and bought a Tesla.

Great review Thomas! Thank you! I am a Tesla Model Y owner and never missed a gage cluster or a HUD in front of me. I enjoy the better visibility and the minimalist interior more than the dashboard of my BMW M5.

I've seen it live and it's really nice compared to before! I'd only wish for ultrasonic sensors and a heads up display, it doesn't take away anything

Tesla is doing a lot of things right, but their cost cutting are f** up their products. The fact, that you can't get the "Autopark" feature currently in Germany because they intentionally threw out the radars, which seems also the problem with automatic gear shifting, was and is a no-buy argument for me. Controls for blinkers or wipers shouldn't be on the stearing wheel or in some menu in the infotainment - it's simply too important in terms of safety. Also the fact that Tesla is still not able to bring a HUD to markt is remarkable.

A small tip for those who use Autopilot or are skeptical about lack of capacitive steering wheel: you an use a scroll wheel to "tell" the car that you are paying attention and then you don't have to worry about accidentally turning the Autopilot off ;)

Those indicators are ridiculous. Often, on roundabouts for example, you need to signal a direction change while turning the wheel, and without a fixed stalk this becomes practically impossible. Great for the increasing number of drivers who don’t indicate, and for Americans where roundabouts are practically non existent, but otherwise a big fail.

sorry Thomas, really, in previous Tesla 3 you would have problem to travel long distanse? I do not think so.
