Don’t let the brushes soak inside a water bath
Just put the micellarwater directly on the brush head and let that soak with the handle pointing upwards, otherwise you risk the glue inside the Ferrule(metal bit that holds the bristles) to losen thusly brush hairs falling out and losing their shape

Dawn dishsoap with warm water is the best! Gets all the makeup oils completely out!

I just use baby shampoo on a textured silicon pad. You don't want to soak them and have all your bristles fall out

I don't soak them as it's bad for the glue that holds the brush together. I wet them, then lightly dip them in @dawn dish soap, swirl them on the palm of my hand, which breaks up the oils from the makeup. I rinse them until the water runs clear and then hang them to dry.

Zote bar is the best. Gets rid of makeup and oils. Leaves brushes squeaky clean and conditioned

I've only used aveeno baby shampoo to clean my brushes. Super gentle, hypoallergenic, and gets all the makeup out completely!

Do not soak your brushes!!!! Water can travel up into the ferrule (the metal part that connects the brush hairs to the handle) and loosen the glue that holds in the brush hairs. You’ll ruin your brushes!

I’ve found Dawn Dish liquid in HOT water is the best. Then after they’re rinsed, I dip them in 70% alcohol and let them soak about 15 minutes.

I take them out of the container, use a clean paper towel to remove the excess, and let them air dry. That acts as the sanitizer. You must sanitize after cleaning.

They smell SO fresh and feel SO fluffy when you use them.

I’ve always used Dial antibacterial bar soap. It does wonders and will help kill any bacteria on my brushes.

Dove is the way to clean. I use Dove to remove stains from my expensive clothes. Works everytime

No you do not want to soak your brushes at least don’t let the water hit the bristle shaft. It will loosen the glue if it gets inside. You always want to face then down so water doesn’t get in. And you need to swirl the brush on your palm or you can get a makeup brush cleaning pad. I just use dr bronners diluted and I just swish the brush around. And then rinse the rest off but never let water get in to far. I learned this tips in the early 2000s from a MAC makeup artist, back when MAC was THE makeup brand. I still have my first MAC brushed I got when I was 15 in 2005. I still use them they’re in great condition and I credit it to how I clean them.

It’s true! If you soak the brush the head/hair will come apart from the handle. ❤

The best solution for stuck-on product is mixing mild dish soap, baking powder and warm water, getting the mixture on the brush and rinsing after 10-15 mins. The baking powder will lift dirt very efficiently.

I recently saw someone else comment on a similar short about cleaning make up brushes that she used castile bar soap for cleaning her brushes and sponges. I gave it a try with Dr. Bronner’s castile soap (rose scent) bar from Amazon and let me tell you it worked amazing!! No soaking necessary, and the olive and coconut oil in the soap does a fabulous job breaking down the make up gently. Not a spec of foundation or stains on my beauty blender and the brushes were completely clean in minutes.

I use the HoneyPot regular vag cleanser. It’s lightweight and doesn’t leave a residue. Plus whatever is good for my little lady🐱 is good for my face😊

I clean mine with an anti-dandruff shampoo and then give the bristles a quick soak for a few minutes in hair conditioner or a mask. Then wash out thoroughly.
