Sometimes when you are grieving, you can sit across from others
And they too have gone through it.
The moment of realization can be heavy.
Please take a listen.

One of the greatest human beings I have ever been lucky enough to meet. Thank you, Geddy... for all the music and laughs, and for just being a good dude.

I was at this show in Chicago at the Auditorium Theater. Their conversation about loss was so emotional. More than once GL had to stop and compose himself. More and more I’ve realized this book tour wasn’t about RUSH but about relationship and humanity. From the loss of his dad to the loss of NP. It takes a lot of guts to go out there and be vulnerable to an audience who sometimes sees you as superhuman. Thank you GL for using your platform to remind us of what’s really important. ❤️🙏🏽🥲

Being a fan of Rush and Soundgarden, and any band that they have sang in, or any other band as a fan, our hearts hurt!!!! I couldn’t imagine being the person next to them and not seeing them anymore. I love rock ‘n’ roll, and I love all my rock ‘n’ roll friends that’s all of you.!!!!

With grief, it can help us as much to be the giver as the receiver of support.

It's an Opportunity to set aside our own immediate grief and help work through grief others must be experiencing. This provides us an emotional relief and it's more objective - and Kim was helped by his helping Ged.

'Feeling Yrself Disintegrate' by The Flaming Lips is the best ever song about loss and death but placed in the sunlight

When you are experiencing the peak of loss, it’s difficult to see others suffering & loss & be empathetic.

Geddy Lee is just like the rest of us; we try to be our best selves, and sometimes we are not able to make the right choices!

In retrospect, we can talk to those who we should have been more compassionate towards.

It’s never too late!

Getty is a great man. I think what he is a saying makes a lot of sense. Geddy was unloading a bit of his loss and was grateful to have that ear. Then afterwards felt a little selfish. But the other guy is also a great man because he was able to bear Geddy’s loss without turning it around to himself.

So often people turn things around to themselves so let’s applaud the man who could shoulder Geddy’s time of need.

Right?

Of course Geddy Lee realizes this after but for that moment in time perhaps he really needed to unload.

As a fan, the loss of Neil and Chris still hits hard. As a singer I will never, ever get over the loss if Chris. Neil's passing just was shocking and I felt numb for days. Grief is different for everyone but loss is something we all feel I believe.

What comes with age is a realization of what’s going around you. Nothing wrong with that, everybody needs a moment to catch up once and awhile. Very profound …
