"on the other hand you're being loyal to your friend, so fuck the dishonesty part"
Geddy is the best. RIP Neil.

Neil was a notoriously private individual. He wasn't into the whole "look at me I'm a rock star thing". These dudes just wanted to make great music then at the end of the day go home and be normal. I'd say they achieved that

LOADS of respect for Geddy & Alex for maintaining Neils, and his families wishes for privacy, meanwhile dealing with their own grief.

I do not know if this guys are aware of how many people's life they touched AND saved with their music. I am one of those ones...

Thank you RUSH

From the day Neil joined until the final show and beyond, these guys were true to the band, all the people behind the scenes, the music, the fans, and, most importantly, to each other. There will never be another band like Rush, not just musically and longevity, but 3 men with the intelligence and maturity to handle all that life would bring and never act like a bunch of egotistical celebrity assholes. Rush will never fade away.

I can feel Geddy’s anger of having lost a dear friend for which he was loyal but had a price to pay in living that loyalty.

Absolute props for all involved for respecting Neil's wishes. It would have been much harder for all involved to deal with it publicly.

The humanity of this band, so much respect, compassion, empathy for each other, not just as bandmates, but as a friend, a brother and a human being, all done with the grace and dignity.

I love Neil for living by his philosophy of respecting others' privacy and then keeping his own. I love that his friends, family, and bandmates fully respected him and kept it all private just like he wanted. RUSH is just about the most wholesome and respectable outfit in rock music history. It is almost impossible not to love these guys even if you somehow didn't like their music.

I’m 73. Got my first computer December 2020. Don’t ask why it took me so long but it opened up the world to me. I mostly watch music videos but I do tap in to other things also. My favorite drummer was Neil Peart. I was new to Rush’s music believe it or not. Oh, I forgot to mention I became a metalhead shortly after getting my computer and listening to metal music. Anyway, I picked Neil as my favorite drummer not realizing that he had passed away. I was shocked to find out. One of my favorite videos of Neil is when he was on David Letterman show, it was drum week on letterman’s show and it he was one of them. I highly suggest people go and search it out and watch it… it’s effing awesome awesome awesome. Rest in Paradise Neil. 😇🫶🙏💟☮️💟

So much respect for Alex & Geddy. I can’t even begin to imagine just how hard that was to keep s secret to honor Neil’s wish knowing he was dying. Much respect for Neil wanting to keep it quiet. RIP Neil

All 3 members always seemed to be the nicest and most down to earth people. Good people.

I think these 3 guys had a better relationship with each other than most brothers and sisters in family life.. which is the hardest thing to comprehend giving the circumstances...

Neil is the only person I've never met that I cried over when they passed.

Geddy was 100% correct. "Fuck the dishonesty part." Neil's passing was our loss....but heavens gain.
