Remote Control Train With Caboose, Ferry Boat Ride On Ohio River, Railfan Platform Construction! CSX

CSX Operation Lifesaver bay window caboose leading a short local freight. This is a remote control train and the crew on the caboose are operating the train with belt packs. Then I take a FERRY BOAT RIDE on historic Anderson Ferry across the Ohio River into Kentucky! A huge barge full of coal was going up river so I filmed that and the trip across the river in the rain. THEN, a visit to the railfan platform under construction and the closed Norfolk Southern Ludlow Kentucky Yard. I filmed the "mixed use development" from the Ludlow Police Department. Construction was under way with trucks coming and going. Notice the billboard near the end of the video to see what the new development will look like. It was cold and rainy but that doesn't stop a good boat ride and train spotting trip. Lol. A viewer noticed that one side of the caboose says Operation Redblock on it. A pic at the end of this video sucks. I took a pic with some people associated with a weird individual before I knew who they really were. Filmed January 22, 2018. Thanks for watching! Please comment, give a thumbs up and SUBSCRIBE TO JAWTOOTH!!

PLEASE WATCH ONE OF MY BEST VIDEOS BELOW!!

Hello everyone! We are taking the girls to see Padington 2. I tried to turn down the volumn on my outro to this video. Let me know if it is still blasting you out of your chair. Lol. Live Action!!

You brought back an early memory of mine. I was under4 years old & my mom took me to a friends on the banks of the Ohio River, where I got into a rowboat of a fisherman who pulled his long round net into the boat & emptied it of mostly catfish. That was way, way back during WW2...perhaps 1943 or 1944. Thanks for posting, from Texas.

I’ll bet the conductor was glad to have a caboose to ride on a raw day like that!

The ferry part was awesome. Reminded me of "The Outlaw Josie Wales". You get to film the coolest stuff, Mr. Jaw Tooth. Again I say: U R D Man!!! Thanks for sharing.

It sure is rare to see a caboose still in use these days. I must have been a lucky man in 2017 - I saw THREE cabooses pass through Sterling (northern Wayne County), Ohio, while walking on the County Line Trail. One was a DODX (Department of Defense), the second was CSX (ex-Chessie), and the third was still in full Chessie paint with its windows boarded up.

I still can't believe they only charge $5 for the ferry ride. In CA, that same ride would cost $50 easy!!!

Hi Brian, videos like this are great watching because of the way you show everyday life and the scenery in small American towns . Fabulous river crossing shots and cheap too ....Peter

Never been on the Anderson Ferry ferry. Been on the ferry up past the locks a few times though. Fun ride.

Hey Jawtooth, I have seen a caboose pull freight without a locomotive, which means that cabooses have engines, after all they were used for helping a train with its brakes.
