Q:What pencil, paper, pen (etc) do you use?

Q: How do you record your videos?
A: I use a Sony Handycam HD to record my videos and Adobe Elements Premier for editing

Q: Can I send you mail?
A: Yes! Make sure you check that the correct postage is on the envelope or it won't make it to me.

Q: Will you write me back?
A: If you include a self-addressed stamped envelope, I will reply back to you! :)

Q: Can you draw a picture of my dog. horse, cat, Mother (Etc)
A: Unfortunately, I am unable to take personal requests. If you are interested in purchasing a commissioned drawing from me, send me a message for more information.

Q: How can I get better at drawing?
A: The biggest thing you can do is keep drawing! Never give up.

When starting out, I recommend saving $ and using sunlight ! Some phones have really good quality cameras nowadays so you can film 1080p quality videos by them. I hope whoever is watching this doesn't get discouraged because of their lack of equipment. Start and save money on the way !

I actually have used my phone for all my videos so far. When my last phone died, I took some time to research good phone/camera options that were in my price range and opted for a Droid Maxx 2, in part because I could insert a memory card and take nice, long videos. So far I like it, except I can't rotate it to see things without getting up. My work around for that is that once I get it set up, I tape down a couple rulers to create a boundary to my visible work space in my desk.

Hi Valerie, I use the C922 webcam to record my art process and do live streams with it because it's already setup there and I don't have to change out batteries every time a digital camera runs out of juice. And surprisingly, the video quality is quite good. :) For audio voiceover, I use a Blue Nessie. But I do my vlogs with a Canon G5X. :)

I record my videos using my cellphone set in a selfie stick attached to a tripod. Then pit a bag of rice to weigh the back end of the tripod down so I won't tip forward. I just got a Nikon B500, and will be using both to get other drawing perspectives.
