Petersburger Marsch [German march][+English translation]

This version has some lines from the Berlin song "Denkste denn".

The "march from Petersburg" or Petersburger Marsch is a military march, which has been common since the 1830s, but for whose origin there are various indications. It was probably composed by Erik Eriksson.

It's amazing how many "double", shared marches we have. Hohenfriedberger also has a Russian version - the Horse Artillery March. Baltischer Wacht is also similar in sound to our march of the 5th Hussar Alexandriisky Regiment. By the way, Baltischer in the original also tells about Hussars, fighting for the Faterland and ready to die for it. A very beautiful, gentle, noble, exquisite march. The march of a noble military class.
Well, and our Empresses brought their favourite songs and marches, and the Emperors actually arranged parades and reviews to their native music.
