Are the tick removal tools as effective as tweezers?
These are the small plates with a narrowing groove that you place over the tick and slide back so that as the groove narrows if forces the tick to back out. This seems easier to use and also less damaging to the tick so that you don't leave tick parts embedded in the bite.

I bite them back, I've got more germs than they do.

I was bit by a tick on my thigh, and i
took a needle and poked at its back and he pulled his head out and I disposed of him.

I also heard you could use something like a credit card, to scrape it off in the opposite direction of the way it went in, so as not to cause it to inject possible pathogens. Right?

My sister's mother in law was a nurse for many years, and she would soak a cotton ball in isopropyl alcohol and place it over the tick. The tick would begin to suffocate and burn from the alcohol and back out on it's own. This also has the advantage of killing any germs from the tick in the wound it leaves.
