actually about the kuchisake onna story, by distracting her, you can throw down candy, the legend says that she is distracted by candy, any kinds. saying that she is average THEN drop the candy, and run away (that fact is probably useless, i know -_-)
8:35 when he said wait sorry, i covered my screen, knowing what was going to show up, and idk why, but i kinda wanna share why (long story ahead)
As a young child (around 9 8-10 yrs), i was really AND I MEAN REALLY into japanese urban legends, such as hanako-san, the 8 foot tall women (i forgot her name and her name is also really long), and the one i was really scared of but ALSO really attracted to was kuchisake-onna (because of her style, her overall story, and i was really scared of how she looked, animated, drawn, and all. I loved them, it was like drugs for me. Watching once, cant stop, despite the nightmares and consequences. I was alone in my room (i am alone while watching this so that kinda makes me get chills writing this), and searched up 'Japanese urban legends' and watched them until my mom told me to stop. The ones i watch have predictable graphis, so i know whenever to cover my epes or the screen, but some people use REAL photos from the internet, and seeing a real person, with slits from ear-to-ear, in a bloody white dress, holding shears or blade, covered in bl00d, and hair all messed up? yeah thatttt gets me. (not being mean Animeuproar. i LOVE you videos. as well as the people that made the urban legend videos :) )
one time (this year at the age of 12), i awoke at night, around past 2am, and my heart pounded so hard, it felt like it was going to explode, or pop out of my chest, and since it was dead silent (so quiet that my ears were ringing), i could hear it friking THUMP in my chest. The scary pictures of kuchisake-onna (irk ones!) flashed in my mind and i needed to go to my mom and tell her that i 'had a nightmare' so lesson learned, dont watch pictures, legends, and videos that i SHOUDLNT be watching at

If zenitsu wrote the story is that suppose to be a nod to the lord of the rings/GOT trope. Important but secondary character is the viewers reference for the events presented in a story.
