The Jungle Book 2016 was actually a second remake. They already did one in 1994.
Technically Cruella falls into the same category, since there already was a 101 Dalmatians remake in the 90s, as well as a sequel!

True. You can look at Disney until, lets say 2001 and have almost exclusively good and very original content with food intentions.

After that the best they have is the occasional good movie and that's mostly because of the studios making them, mostly even in defiance of Disney.
