I did almost 10 days worth of research before buying it on the very first day of launch here in India 24th March 2023. So watching this review on my Awesome Lime A54 5G. Must say that the design choice, the display, the primary optics and the user experice is simply AWESOME..😊

Honestly I would choose the a54 because of the 120 Hz, nice screen, decent processer, speed and speakers

_Grear display / Fast refresh rate
_4 years of updates
_Audio is great
_Colour Choices this year

CONS
_Performance has its moments (Exynos ain't Qualcomm)
_Macro Sensor needs a software update
_Slow Charging (even at 25 Watts)
_No headphone jack
_No wall charger
_Price needs to be competitive (but you get 4 to 5 years of updates)


I'm a Motorola Guy, but even I am impressed with what Samsung has done this year (I'm sure Carriers will offer the A54 and the A34 as deals, it's just waiting to see what specs carriers have vs the unlocked variant). Kudos to Samsung for impressing me this year! 😀👍🏻

as long as the A series of phones have a micro sd slot and nice proformace for the price than it will always be a clear choice

I bought a Samsung A53 5G on Amazon Prime day last year for £249. Despite reviewers not liking it my A53 is an almost perfect phone. The only downside is a slightly slower CPU than Chinese phones at the same price point. Now with the A54 the CPU is 40% faster which makes the A54 a perfect phone. I get 5 years of security updates with means that the cost per year of a Samsung A53 or A54 phone is much less than any Chinese phone because no Chinese phone gets more than 2 years of security updates.

I'm probably the only person who doesn't like a glass back. All my devices go instantly in a case. So aluminum or plastic backs are perfectly fine for me. GREAT REVIEW, BTW.

I also have the S22 Ultra since I've been a Note user since the Note 3. My mom has been using the S9 the past 4 years and ordered the A54 for her to try out (coming this week). I which the premium S series still had the microSD card slot!

I believe the speakers are also powered by Dolby Atmos, it sounds kind of bassy and loud which I really like on a phone with this price range.

Absolutely spot on with the cons, their are many other options you can spend and save money on the s21 will be a better option as well, and yes i know someone is going to be up the software support but the s21 or any flagship will always faster regardless if a new mid ranger has more software support. plus you're getting more features such as reverse wireless charging, samsung dex which are both outstanding features and wireless charging those features matter yall, great video!

I think at times people expect to much from phones. For someone who doesn't game, this phone is actually pretty good. If you're a heavy gamer complaining about the chipset in this device, buy a console. Xbox Series S is actually cheaper than this phone. Or.. by a flagship device. Otherwise, if you don't game this is a solid phone for the price. People like what they like.

This phone looks gorgeous, still have my A52 and still works wonderfully for me. Going to wait for an A55 to see if it will meet my demands, as I feel this phone rn doesn't feel like a massive upgrade. Although a good bonus for these phones is a 4-year software update, which is good for long-term use

Nice phone 📱 highly recommend it...I got the S21 as well and can honestly say the A54 is Awesome!!! I hate that samsung is following Apple 🍎 with the no headphone jack and not being able to open the phone and change out the battery yourself still a great phone.. seriously thinking About selling my S21 and keep the A54 as my daily 📱

4 years OS updates and 5 years security patches. Chinese smartphone makers really have some catching up to do because 2 years of OS updates and 3 years of security patches just isn't enough in 2023.

Great video and lots of good info! I do agree with the list of cons and feel that there are better phones for the same price or even less. Based on your testing, did it have any lag(like how the a53 did for some)?

From someone who is not a tech expert and has had a OnePlus 7 for 4 years, would this be a reasonable choice to switch to? Aside from general day-to-day use, the most considerable use I give my phone is through photos and videos. Until then, I've always been satisfied with OP 7, so I wonder if this one maintains the quality at least.

Got mine today. Runs much better than my old A32 5g. The speaker quality will never bother me when I got my airpods. Other than that the screen size and quality is great. Let alone the 6gb + ram and storage

I just got mine today. The speakers are very good with bass, the vibrations are GREAT the screen is beautiful, Camara is great. I have to say I just love this phone as of now. Hopefully the 1380 will hold up well. But yeah if you pick-up this phone at a store or something you will have a hard time telling the difference between this and a flagship for sure.

People keep saying the processor is bad but honestly I just don't see it. Apps open quick and everything runs as it should. I think the phone could use an update to be a bit smoother but for the most part it's not bad at all, this is coming for someone that used a pixel 7 pro 🤷‍♂️
