Nice comparison there. If you want more software updates and stability, go for the Samsung; if specs are all that you care, go for the Redmi.

I have the redmi note 12 pro and I would recommend it
It's snappy and real life battery life is great
I play games like call of duty and genshen and it rolls through them without any issues

There is no clear winner here. Both are targeting different user base with difference in their price and the charger included is a nice bonus from xiaomi.

As an owner of both the S23 Ultra and the A54, I'm not going to lie, and 100% honest here. Outside of the better cameras on the Ultra and better processor, when you factor in value, everyday use, and expandable storage, plus the flat-screen and feel of the A54, I really can't tell much of a difference day to day. The features and the gap between these "entry-level" phones and the higher end are so close that it's hard to justify the extra $500-$700 outside of the hardcore fans who must own the latest and greatest top-of-line phones. I would be happy to use my A54 daily and not be mad about it, it's that good of a phone.

Ive had my a54 for a few months now not 1 problem with lagging at all. The customization is stellar samsung customer service stellar and updates are solid for 4 years. The blacks on screen are vwry vibrant and saturated not like older A models that were kind of grayish black. No heqdphone jack doesnt matter as most of the world has moved onto using buds anyway. Not big on gaming but if you were lookong for a phone that can game and over throttle i think those people would be looking into rog, black shark etc phones specifically for that. The look of the a54 dead on par with s23 expandable storage etc lost goes on. Breaking a redmi and going to get it repaired the cost is higher than just going into a samsung dealer as well and only 2 years of sofware support lucky to see android 13 let alone android 14. Id say go a54 if you want flagship specs get an older sammy like an s21, samsung even has deals on the s22.

I had the A54 for like 6 months, a bit laggy at first but after 1 big update the problem is gone, it's one of the most comfortable phone to hold without a case. The only major drawback for me is the charging speed, 25W is not acceptable in 2023, they think slower charging speed will increase battery lifespan, in reality, if your phone charge slowly, you'll probably use it while charging more often, that heats up the battery and shorten its lifespan

Pricewise the main competition for the Galaxy A54 is the Poco F5 Pro with 8+ Gen 1 Soc.

It'd be great if you include aspect ratios in phones like Samsung's which have 19.5:9 ratio. You guys are otherwise the gold standard on the Web in detailing phone specifications.

At 4:11, the A54 text says selfie, while a demonstration of both rear cameras is being shown. The same mistake reoccurs at 4:36.

Not a fair comparison, because Samsung drains a lot of battery in idle, plust it gets toasted too on idle. So, in reality you will find urself needing to charge the Redmi phones less when compared to Samsung phones.

Better comparison would be a34 vs note 12 pro, considering both have same processors.

For me Samsung design + Samsung branding + software update easy win for Samsung.
But I don't have money to buy one lol 😅

My A52S 5G still wins by having both a headphone jack, a micro SD card slot and even a Qualcomm chip.

I had the A54 since April 12, a very great phone. The phone can handle almost everything from watching reels, and playing CODM and FC mobile to reading the news. The battery heats up more than other phones if you run an intense app for more than 3 hours. The slow charging is the problem here and it takes forever to charge. The phone is really fast and camera is great.

Redmi note 12 pro 4G was never reviewed. Is it because of similarities with the Note 10 pro?

The A54 is a proper phone. The big minus is that it only support 25watt and doesnt even come with adaptor. The redmi is literally above the A54 pretty much in everything just lacking of long term updates. But most people change their phones after 5 years or so and no midrange user really bother about updates.
