Oh good! I bought oxbow pellets, I'm a new guinea pig owner picking up my first 2 adult bonded girls this Sunday!!! And then I have 2 more coming in 3 weeks (6 weeks old baby girls) so I can have a herd of 4 girls. And I am so excited. I'm a brand new piggy mum and I have a C&C cage with fleece ready to rumble. 7:17 basically what that is is like a colored sponge. I do not recommend it at all because when you’re guinea pig because it’s like a really soft because it’s a sponge so when your guinea pig chews through it, it will go into their stomach and then it will expand and then you’re guinea pig will slowly suffer because it will have no room for its food because the sponge is taking up all the food I do not recommend it at all

I just adopted two girls who were part of an animal cruelty investigation from my local animal shelter. They are not my first piggies. I currently have a cage that is just under 10.5 square feet. What I have found is that my guinea pigs have never liked adult essential for their food. I use baby essentials and then at 6 months I wean them onto garden select. I have bags that I attach to the side of their cage for the hay. I also use fleece but I change mine every day. My two girls just pee everywhere.

1:50 that is a cage suitable for rats! I once had pet rats and theirs was about double the width of it and only one layer (although we did use platforms as they good old and a bit poorly as they couldn’t climb) they ADORE climbing and spend most of their time sleeping in their hammocks or climbing around at dawn and dusk, the only time they really venture down onto the floor is when you bury their food to get easy enrichment, to groom each other (although they do groom each other in hammocks too) and to fight -which helps establish dominance- if you don’t let them fight then they get very confused as they don’t have a proper hierarchy, which is very important. They NEED a friend otherwise they will become depressed and actually stop eating until they die. I MASSIVELY recommend rats as they are AMAZING! I hope that I have provided enough info for you, and I am crossing every possible body part that you get some! (I advise to get 3 rats, as getting 2 puts you in a bit of a sticky position if one died, as one is alone after. Waiting for a rat announcement video now!… 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

A good idea for water bottles is also Lixit water bottles. They work so well and never leak.
