Tip for beginners:
If you think you got shot, just stand there for 10-20 seconds, and they will most likely shoot you again to confirm you got hit and you can continue like normal.

Funny story, I was at an outdoor Airsoft field, and there was this guy with a completely after-marketed M4. I was using an M4 as well, and he wasn’t calling his hits after I give him two shots to the arm. His excuse, “still figuring out how to use my gun” 🤦‍♂️. The two attachments to my M4 are an EOtech red dot and a red laser. That’s really all I needed. While this was all happening, he lost his eye protection lol. This video sums up everything that happened that day.

As someone who has played for a few seasons: he's spot on for attachments. I started out with no attachments (save for what came with my guns as they were used). I found that what I did have I didn't need, and when I did finally figure out what was good for me, it was from having played, and (in some cases) trying attachments on other people's guns. Make some friends, and ask them if they'd be willing to swap guns for a round or a match, and that can tell you a lot. Or otherwise, just hold other people's guns. See what feels comfortable.

I over loaded way too much on accessories when i first got into it. Had two different sized bipods, 4 different optics, like 3 different grips, 2 flash lights, and two different colored slings.

Flash forward to now. I just use one of those grips, and a pair of flip sights

Other beginner help;
Sadly some people still don't call hits. I remember one time I double tapped someone a couple times in a cqb arena and had to resort to a bang bang rule. Some advice just incase they still don't call hits, get a referee! They are there to help you and the other players so the game can be fair.
