Another season, another anti-haul! The 6 things I won’t be buying this spring, because they're either short-lived trends, wrong for me personally, or because I’ve already got a good option at home. Let’s be kind to the planet and to our wallets by staying away from things that we only crave because they’re super on trend. Here we go.

Love your anti-haul videos! I’m going to stay away from most of the trends except for the crochet trend…because I’ve been crocheting my whole life! My grandma taught me how in the 80’s when I was a kid and I never stopped loving it. I’m making a beautiful crochet sun hat and a few tops and bathing suit cover ups with cotton yarn. This is my season!

Shopping my own closet for select y2k throwbacks 😆 I experienced it the first time around and have held onto a few select pieces I love that will pair up nicely with more modern pieces. Steering clear of the bikini trend, personally; my genetics have dictated that I’m a bit “blessed” (?) up top, and I personally think this trend will work a little better for ladies with less boobage than I have.

The best thing I did a few years ago was building my version of a capsule wardrobe (not limited to a number of items, but fitting in my preferred style) so if I have a black blazer, I don~t feel the need of buying another similar black jacket - all I bought last year legitimately was a white hoodie + joggers co-ord to wear around the house + run chores, and I wear it all the time!

I dislike all these trends. Low rider jeans were never in my closet. Classic pieces are all I’m adding to my wardrobe. I’ve purged already and sent back a beautiful and comfortable sweater because it didn’t go with my colors. Your top is very wonderful 🙋🏼‍♀️👍💖

I'm not investing in any of these trends - while the Y2K style should elicit maximum nostalgia in me, it is also a style that is the opposite of flattering for my body type. I remember feeling ugly in those clothes in the naughties, and I'm not prepared to feel ugly again.
I AM investing in a classic black trench coat and (hopefully) a cream or white wool coat, though, as soon as I've found ~the one~ for both garments, as these are things I've been on the hunt for and feeling was missing in my closet for over 6 months.

I did a search for "anti-haul" and so many of the videos were just people moaning about items that they personally don't like, while still encouraging their viewers to go out and buy, buy, buy. Nobody seems to understand what an anti-haul is supposed to be. 😑

My body type is definitely best in high-waisted items since I have a narrow waist and wide hips. Sometimes I wish I could confidently rock something like a mini-skirt or low-waisted jeans, but it's really just not for me. Always fun to see trends though!
