How to repair a crack in plaster

This video is going to show you how to repair cracks in plaster walls and ceilings. Repairing cracked plaster is very easy as long as you use the correct technique. In this video the crack is cut into a V shape, then brushed clean before it is dampened using clean water. It is then filled using Gyproc easi fill 20 which is a very easy to use filler that gives excellent results. The area is then sanded lightly before being primed with a coat of Zinsser 123+

Thanks for the video. Just bought a beautiful home that is 95 years old and has some settling cracks beneath the miles of wallpaper the previous owners had installed. Safe to say I'll be able to make videos on how to fix cracks when I've finished repairing.

This video has come in very handy. My wife has been going on at me for months about a crack in our bedroom that needs filling. Now I can show her this video and tell her that this is the best way for me to attend to it...

Another good tip to mention is if the wall is ready plasterboard and you have cracks (say where the joints are) you can poke a couple of holes through along the crack and then plug the holes with expanding foam to reduce the movement and it works a treat!! The same principle applies after this stage, score out the crack slightly to put a little bit of filler in :)
