You know what would happen if the world went vegetarian/vegan? 8 million less people would die of starvation, meat production would slow down, meaning less water being used to produce beef, less methane gasses coming from cows, no deforestation, no pain and suffering for animals and healthier human beings! I don't know why we shouldn't start now!

What would happen if the U.S. Didn't eat meat for a week?

If the world was vegan, vegans wouldn't have to tell everyone their vegans.

So basically the world would be a better, and healthier place?

Everyone gets so surprised when I say that I'm a vegetarian and sometimes they make rude comments.
Like, I respect you then why don't you respect me? Idk people

I'm almost vegetarian. I occasionally eat chicken to appease my parents, but as soon as I move out, no more for me. I don't like killing and eating meat gives me a guilt feeling.

As an Indian, i was raised a vegetarian and don't mind meat-eaters. I only have a problem with animal cruelty, over-consumption of meat which harms people's health because i care about all good human beings, and those who do not care for global warming, pollution and climate change.

Let's make the world the better place, guys, gals, and non-binary folks!! <3

Everyone should watch earthlings if you need more persuasion to go veggie or vegan

I was a vegetarian for a year just because I wanted to
it isnt hard lol, besides the harassment you get from some people who shouldn't be verbally attacking you

I find the excuse that “people will lose their jobs if we go vegetarian” absolutely ridiculous. Human trafficking provides jobs too, does that mean it should prevail? Not everything that provides a job is a good thing

So the answer isn't to go vegetarian but to cut back on the meat consumption? Sounds fair enough to me.

I'm not vegetarian or vegan but I believe that we should cut down on meat consumption and maybe in the future only get meat from wild sources, meaning we won't have to have livestock. which like you said, would decrease global warming and increase natural habitat

I was raised vegetarian, and my whole life I would have kids in school tease me for it. They would say I'm going to die early, wave sandwich meats in my face and in general be horrible to me for it. I mean, the stereotype is that vegans and vegetarians are always rude about meat eater's dietary choices, but for me it was the opposite. I wish people could just accept that I don't want to eat animals and leave it at that, I don't tell anyone else how to eat so why is it that everyone tries to tell me?

I was vegan for 5 years. The hardest part was the constant daily jokes/harassment from fools who couldn't handle my dietary preferences. I mean, I heard the same lame jokes several times every day, wtf is up with that. They complained that vegans were preachy, I never was, while they would mock and jeer literally all the time.

Also barbecued boar sausages are the shit, so yeah, no more veganism. Not to mention that being healthily vegan is pretty expensive in the developing world (currently residing in Brazil). I don't support factory farming. I only eat hunted meat, and no dairy, or I'll accept meat given to me by friends or family. The biggest problem in the world is overpopulation, something society doesn't want to face up to. Less people = less material consumption = a more balanced world. Not to mention we'll stop crowding out the rest of the animals we share the planet with.

I really want to be a vegetarian, but my parents say I'm too young ( Im 16) even though I had tried to convince them that I'm not. I'm reducing the amount of meat I eat, and as soon as I move out, I'll be a vegetarian 😊
