There's no betrayal in politics, only a temporary alliance.

The Soviet Union was the last country to sign an agreement with the Nazis. The Soviet Union had already been concerned about the threat from Nazi Germany, for example when the Nazis occupied Czechoslovakia, the Soviet Union raised the question of future threats. But the West said that "There is nothing to worry about yet"
However, as we see now, the Soviet Union turned out to be right.
When their government realized that there was no agreement with them, they were the last to sign the agreement. And no, this is not a lie, you can see that Western countries signed treaties with the Nazis earlier than the Soviet Union.

1934: Poland making a non-offence pact with Germany 🇩🇪🤝🇵🇱

1935: Britain allows Germany navy building 🇩🇪🤝🇬🇧

1936: French and Britain gave Germany rights to occupy a demilitarised Rhein zone 🇩🇪🤝🇬🇧🇫🇷

1938: France and Britain literally sold Czechoslovakia to Germans, Poles and Hungarians 🇭🇺🇵🇱🇩🇪🤝🇬🇧🇫🇷

1939:

So why everyone likes to talk only about relations of Germany and USSR?

Before we talk about the Molotov-Ribbentrop package.
Don't forget a couple of "little" details:
- The Pact was created after UK and France refused to allow the USSR to form a coalition against Germany
- The pact was created after the partition of Czechoslovakia, UK, France, Poland and Germany.
- Almost every country in Europe was in alliance with Germany except the USSR
- UK wanted to pit Germany and the USSR against each other by helping Germany build up its military power

I will answer this question by quoting Hitler himself, a quote from his book and the NSDAP manifesto «Mein Kampf»: «Our goal is the conquest of the lands in the east». It was with this that he came to power in 1933, and everyone in the USSR and Germany knew about the inevitability of war. And the Molotov-Ribbentropp Pact (a non-aggression pact between Germany and the USSR and the division of Poland) is nothing more than an attempt to delay this war, because «in the east» of Germany at that time there were only Poland and the USSR, and, with all due respect to Poland, it's people and history, I don’t think that anyone then believed that Hitler’s ambitions ended in Poland. Especially in the USSR.

I mean, they were never allies in the first place. That was a non aggression pact and even then, both leaders knew it was not gonna last.

Author dosent want to say that by 1939 all European countries had similar agreements with Nazi Germany?
Or in your opinion Germany lived in isolation, becouse of ideology?
No, it actively traded with neighbors and participated in the politics of pre-war Europe….
