I recently read a book by the granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor and they quoted her saying “I believe when hate is encouraged it can sit dormant for years until it grows into a tragedy” I take it to mean that people who have hated in their hearts and instead of letting it out they let it sit dormant for IDK how many years it can turn into a tragedy like the Holocaust itself

As a Jewish woman, it’s absolutely ridiculous to break things off because of an ancestors past of discrimination/oppression- if you do that, you’re basically also saying that interracial marriage shouldn’t be okay, because of white-owned slavery.
