Tbh the more you explore the gambling genre in anime, the more you know how bad it is. Shows like kaiji and akagi have actual masterminds which use tricks you would never expect in a thousand years but you can easily sense where the cheats are in kakegurui, and kakegurui also gives us a sense of comfort which is very fatal for the quality of gambling anime. We already know nothing is going to happen to the mc as she always acts like she knows whats going to happen, and yes, shes always right, and she never loses. The only time she loses are the bets insignificant or the bets we knows she would come out as safe even after she lost. Its okay to write it like that, but the main problem is that its also edgy asf. We have manga like usogui where the mc always wins but it is a masterpiece as the games dont show edginess and doesnt make characters mad for the sake of shock value that "Oh look! Hes crazy", the characters in usogui have way more depth and reasoning behind them, making them reasonable but kakegurui is just shame to gambling shows. Great show to watch with some popcorn and laughs, but not a great gambling show
