I've had my SP3 since the day it was introduced a year ago.  I have the i5, 256GB SSD, 8GB Memory model.  I love this machine and use it for my trading with the Interactive Brokers trading platform and for Photoshop/Lightroom CC for my photography.   I have Microsoft Office 360 and unlimited storage space on Microsoft OneDrive.   I use the pen whenever I'm in Tablet Mode and absolutely love it.  My tablet use is about 50% of the time and I'm addicted to OneNote.  Like you, I'm very much looking forward to what the SP4 will bring.  It's going to have to go quite a ways to beat what I currently have here.  At the one year point I would buy it all over again in a heartbeat!  I got mine at the Microsoft Store in Atlanta and I have the full "Microsoft Complete" insurance coverage.

I agree within everything you highlighted as I have had mine now for a year and I have not put it down.  The SP3 is probably the best device MSFT has ever designed and have also made a device that will last for yrs regardless. My only gripe is the power cable connection, albeit it is better than the SP2 I just feel they could massively improve it some how.

Hey there, i'm really looking forward to buy the SP3, but as a person who see a lot of series and movies (on my laptop or using laptop to connect via HDMI to a TV),  i was wondering how long does the battery last or if the SP3 does heats more than a normal laptop.

Is it better to buy an SP3 with i5 and 8gb of ram vs the sp4 base model with m3 and only 4gb? I will be buying the sp4 type case regardless of which device
