Note, if your hand starts to hurt from too much of the ntrig pen drawing get the wacom nib replacement kit that has the foam grips. Its not a wacom pen but it will help.
That was really one of the main reasons I could not stay with the surface, they just need to make a very nice pen.

I just bought a surface pro 3 i7 256GB (got it brand new over half price using local selling service online, literally, hadn't even been opened!!) and I was looking on YT to see if I could find videos on Civilization V working on it, came across your video Brad and as I am enjoying the pen (never used a stylus before) thought I'd give it a watch. glad I did, you suggested Toolbar Creator!! Amazing thankyou so much.
If you still use an iPad, there is an app called Actions which gives you a similar, but less functional "toolbar creator" that turns your iPad in to a screen of customized buttons. As I have an iPad mini this is useful.

Great videos. I stumbled on them because I'm thinking of getting an active stylus tablet for my daughter to draw with. She is ten however and can probably start out with a normal tablet and stylus until I know she is serious about art. Your reaction to some of these comments/questions .... incredible. This is some awesome stuff Brad. Its finally time to displace the Wacom tablet and provide more affordable options. I'm a developer, so all of these touch things on Windows is important to me. I think I'll try out Huion tablets first though, I've worked with Surface and its pretty good, but heavy drawing stuff needs to be specialized I guess. Happy to hear it works for you!

Very much worth getting the surface pro 4 pen - it's greatly improved.

Right now I'm using both Toolbar Creator and another one called Radial Menu: this last one (aside from the good radial menu) contrary to Toolbar Creator lets you press and hold buttons like Alt while using the pen on the screen. Ideal for colour picking in Photoshop.
I'm finding these two toolbars greatly complement each other. ;)

Class video! Will be getting my SP3 next week. Really looking forward to unleash the power of the pen! Stayed away from wacom tabs cuz I always felt not drawing on the actual drawing would leave me lost. Cintiq was over my budget, but this cool laptop replacement will open up a whole new world. Also into producing music. Cant wait to work in a DAW (music production environment) with touch and pen. I just know this is going to make me a happy chap :D
