It’s funny that you covered this. I have several documented events of having precognitive dreams. It started when I was 16 and I’m 60 now. Roughly a dozen have played out exactly like the dreams unfolded. Vivid dreams that I could tell were special. I was only able to document 6 of these events. About a year will usually go by before the actual events happen. My wife and children are witness to them. I have no idea how it’s happening but it’s as real as the plumbing and electricity in my house. I wish I could explain it so other people could experience it but I just don’t know. It’s not as creepy as it was in the beginning. I’m more adjusting to them and realize it’s fate. I can say that it’s my type or version of Deja Vu. At least that’s how I feel it when the event occurs. It’s immediately clear that it’s the dream from before.

For seven years before I met my wife, she dreamt each week (sometimes several times a week) about standing at the base of wooden stairs leading up to a green door. She was completely lucid in the dream, and could do whatever she wanted, but the dream would play out until she climbed the stairs and tried the door knob, which was always locked. Hundreds of times with the same scenario. She thought she was going crazy. Also, as she had never been to the US, wooden home construction was foreign to her. We met in South America, started dating, and I brought her Stateside to meet my parents. The first time I brought her to my place, she said, "Those are the stairs and door from my dreams." She had mentioned the dream but I never put it together until that moment. We went up the stairs, through the door, and she never had the dream again. Twenty-two years and two kids later, and we're still married! I remind her I was her destiny, lol.

"The dream was so real, so lucid"

That is just a vivid, crazy dream. There seems to be a very widespread misunderstanding of what a lucid dream is. It's honestly baffling.

A Lucid dream is when you become aware that you are dreaming while you are dreaming. You can then control the dream to some extent.

I had a conversation with a couple friends about lucid dreams once and they went onto just describe crazy dreams they had. I explained what a lucid dream was. They were like "Yea exactly.." and just went on to describe a crazy dream they had in which they weren't aware that they were dreaming, calling it a lucid dream.

I've experienced a bunch of precognitive dreams as a kid. The worse and most awful dream was the dream that depicted my mom dying - that one really scared me as a 8 year old. My mom died when I was 17.

I have had these precognition since I was a child too. I am not surprise that someone else could have recognitions. Some people don't believe, oh well, there's nothing we can do to help them see that we humans are very special.

I've been having these precognitve place specific dreams for 50 years. I will know details about a location I've never visited. Its always been a nice surprise to find something unknown yet familiar. There are still some serial dream places I've yet to find. Its hard to explain but I really enjoyed this video.

As a teen I had precognitive dreams every once in a while, usually only completely mundane situations like catching a glimpse of a place or a conversation a few weeks or months in advance. Usually they caused an intense feeling of discomfort as the feeling of extreme deja vu hit, and one actually did help me defuse an argument with a friend at the time by knowing my original answer would have just made it worse. They've gotten rarer and rarer as the decades went by though.

Damn! I do really enjoy the stories about anything dream related. Especially ones that are like these, precognitive, Astral Projection, lucid dreams, etc.. And I am especially thankful to those who shared their experiences with us. You do have at least one true believer, and although I’m unable or at least haven’t ever had anything like these myself, I do not doubt that they happen, and are as real as the ground as I stand upon it. Didn't know there was a term for these...I've had quite a few myself, most of the time when I first have it, it's easily dismisable, but when it actually comes to pass weeks, months or years later, it really does hit you.

I had a dream about the song Hit Me Baby One More Time by Brittany Spears. It’s as if I heard her from miles away while she recorded it. When the song came out I knew the lyrics and the song, saying I had heard it before. I couldn’t remember immediately where, then remembered it had come in a dream. Also dreamed the entirety of Madagascar years before it came out. Wish I could dream about something useful. Lol

I once ‘dreamt’ I overheard a conversation about the death of a man I had never met. The next day he died. He wasn’t famous or anything and I never even met anyone that knew him, I just had a conversation with his friend that mentioned the next days activities (it was a two way radio conversation, I didn’t know him). He was quite young and had an unexpected heart attack.

As a child I had simular experiences like the first one. when I realized it, it felt so weird.
A few month ago, I dreamed of my step father. He needed to go to the hospital. two weeks later, the ambulance parked before our house. At first I didn't realized it but I keep track of my dreams in diary. When I needed to check my dreams I realized that I dreamed of my step fathers hospitalisation. I droped chocked to the floor.
