Lucid Dreams & Nightmares: Ever Dream This Man?

For thousands of years, we’ve pondered the meaning of dreams. Dreams offer insight into our subconscious. Dreams help us process emotions and organize our memories.

Most of us live our waking lives giving a sort of performance. Whether through dishonesty, embarrassment, or simply being polite, there are thoughts we do not share.**Dreams have intrigued us for thousands of years. They provide a peek into our subconscious. They aid in managing emotions and arranging our memories.

We often perform in our awake state. We might be dishonest, embarrassed, or just polite. Thus, we keep some thoughts to ourselves.** Dreams, on the other hand, offer a platform where these suppressed thoughts can freely roam. They are the uncensored version of our minds, a place where our deepest desires, fears, and secrets can come to light without the fear of judgment or consequences.

Dreams also serve as a mirror, reflecting our inner state of mind. They can hint at unresolved issues, unfulfilled desires, or even potential future scenarios. They can act as a guide, helping us navigate through the labyrinth of our thoughts and emotions.

Moreover, dreams can be a source of inspiration. Many artists, writers, and scientists have reported getting brilliant ideas from their dreams. They can stimulate our creativity, encourage problem-solving, and even help us prepare for future events.

In conclusion, dreams are not just random images that appear during sleep. They are a powerful tool that our mind uses to process information, manage emotions, and explore the infinite possibilities of our imagination. They are an essential part of our cognitive and emotional well-being.

While you sleep, your inhibitions disappear. And you’re left with the raw, unforgiving truth. The real you.

But dreams can be more than that.

Some claim dreams are the realm between ours and the spirit world. Some dreams can predict the future.

Studies have shown that dreams can be shared between people.

Lucid dreaming is when *you* – not your dreaming self, your conscious self - controls the dream. You are, literally, a God. The universe is your playground.

It’s exhilarating and powerful. But there is a dark side.

What if: while lucid dreaming, *you* weren’t in control of the dream? But, someone else was?

That’s no longer a dream; it’s a nightmare. And it’s no longer a playground – it’s a prison.

Every night, the lights go out, you close your eyes, and he’s waiting for you.

I've never seen that guy in my dreams, but I probably will now. "Thanks for that"

I’ve had dreams that I’ve woken up from Multiple times. Gotten snacks, gone to the bathroom, only to go back to sleep and continue on where the dream left off when I woke up…

Anyone else get episodic dreams that continue days, weeks, or even years later? It almost felt like I was living a second life.

My wife had a lucid dream which always began at the base of a tall flight of wooden stairs leading to a green door. She could do whatever she wanted in the dream, but it would only end when she ascended the stairs and tried the door. It was always locked. This went on every week, sometimes several times a week, for seven years. She thought she was going crazy. Around that time I was sent to Venezuela for work. We met and started to date. I brought her to the States to meet my parents. Although she had never seen my apartment, the stairs and door were the same from her dream. I knew about the dream but never connected the two things. We went up the stairs, stepped inside, and she never had the dream again. That was twenty-five years ago and we are still together.

My mother told me when I was young, if you're ever having a bad dream and become aware that you're dreaming, close your eyes in the dream and open them as hard as you can. I swear it has worked for me many times.

When I hear you say the phrase "do you want me to make a video on this" the answer is always F*** YES.

From what I have read before, your mind does not make up faces in your dreams but uses faces that you've seen at some point in your life. So, by showing us this man's face, you have entered it into our dream database to be recalled at some later time. Gee, thanks, AJ!

I’ve experienced a lot of lucid dreams and never have seen this man; however, I’ve met a woman twice in my dreams, and the craziest thing was that I met her in person! I encountered this woman on an Amtrak train bound for San Diego. She and I locked eyes and said, “Have we met before?” We engaged in a 3-hour conversation about books we’ve read, music, hobbies, and other interesting things. It still blows my mind. This happened back in 2004 when I was 17. I didn’t have a cell phone and didn’t get her number, which I regret. Later, I realized that this woman was the same woman from my dreams. It still blows my mind. No one believes me, and that’s okay. I at least have this memory, and I hope to meet her again someday, maybe in the next dimension.

Back in 2004 I was the gunner on my platoon SGT’s truck in Baghdad. We was posted up under an overpass waiting for another platoon to come switch out on patrol with us. The last thing I remember doin in Iraq was flicking a cigarette from the roof of the truck. I was shot in the back with a RPG a second later. When the grenade exploded it slammed me forward and I busted my head on the machine gun mounted in front of me. It completely trashed my short term memory. I haven’t had any dreams since then. For the longest time I would only have this one single reoccurring nightmare damn near every night. Then one day that just stopped as well.

A video about and a how-to on lucid dreaming would be amazing. I've seen a few but something about how you talk and explain things is way more engaging.

Keep up the great work, we appreciate you

This man's face is straight up the most unsettling face I've ever seen. Both the poster and the 3D render.

Definitely do a bit on lucid dreaming, it's so rewarding! Even small steps like acknowledging you're in a dream can help expand the mind.
