Oh, God bless this Pastor.He speaks of the Character of God vindicated in the heavenly courtroom, Jesus cannot appear until His commandments are vindicated from the center /Satelight of the Great controversy by a minimum number of the 144000, something that will make Jesus return in His second advent.I wish the SDA's may understand this, then they would receive the LATTER RAIN.

Yes, very true, they are the living saints sealed in the SDA church to be the last servants of God to be sent to the world to call out those in Babylon to joint that triumph church, read Rev7: 1-4 about the sealing of the 144000 servants of God, and in Rev 7: 9, about the Great Multitude who will be brought to the triumphant by the 144000 at the time of the blowing of the 4 winds or during the Mark of the Beast decree.

For me I think the number is symbolic, but my reasons are whole discussions for another day.

The Bible says that they are of the 12 tribes of Israel, 12, 000 from each tribe; they are virgins; they are men; they have been sealed by GOD. The characters are quite clear in Rev 7:1-8, 14:2-5

The only message preparing faithful Seventh Day Adventists to be part of the 144000 is the shepherd's Rod.

it takes wisdom for one to do personal investigation of that message, even if the General conference declared it wrong that does not make the message wrong.

it might be that its the General conference that has gone wrong just like it was in the days of Christ the Sanhedrin (GC) of that time did not as a body discern truth for their time.

The shepherd's rod message is the message where God has made known to us the truth of the 144000 and the truth of God's kingdom.

Why I believe it is symbolic of the Church: The New Jerusalem (the City of God that comes down from heaven to the new earth) has 12 gates with the names of the 144, 000 listed (12, 000 per gate). This does not mean only 12, 000 of each of the 12 tribes of Israel will be in the Holy City. We must look at and believe Romans 11, that the Gentiles were grafted in to the cultivated olive tree, as One New Man. As far as them being Virgins or undefiled with women, we must remember the parable of the 10 Virgins (the Church). "Women" (as in the Bride of Christ or the Woman who rides the beast) represent the false churches or false Church. The True Church (Virgin) is undefiled with these "women."

Likewise, the "two witnesses" are the "two olive trees and the two lampstands", yet we don't have four witnesses. It takes two witnesses to establish the Truth, as you stated. If the seven (whole) lampstands (aka the Menorah) are the seven (whole) churches, the two witnesses are the two lampstands, as well. They are symbolic of the Church. Some say the church isn't mentioned past Rev 3, but they are: the two lampstands.
