You share that the 144k is not literal. Then how come scripture takes it one step closer by saying the 144k were taken from the 12 tribes. 12k from each. The tribes were not metaphorical but literal and actual communities.. And if the tribes are literal then the 12k from each tribe must also be literal. Real people as first fruits selected for a purpose for a mission. I don’t believe it to be a metaphor but an actual head count. I don’t think the scripture would disconnect itself from itself.

Respectfully, this interpretation is wrong. It specifically says it’s 12, 000 from the 12 tribes of Israel and then it names each tribe. So how do you get the nations included in that?! Also, when referring to the 144, 000, it’s specifically says these are virgins who were not defiled with “women” and were redeemed from among men. So if the 144, 000 are both men AND women then why would the Bible describe their purity based off of the fact that they weren’t defiled with women? Makes no sense. God is not saying that certain women are pure because they weren’t defiled with women. That’s like saying King David is pure and a virgin because he wasn’t defiled by men. Makes no sense. The scriptures use a specific gender because it’s specifically describing the 144, 000 as all males. Jeremiah 2:2 is referring to the entire Israel and 2 Corinthians 11:2 is referring to the entire church which is why Jeremiah and Paul never reference a specific gender. The 144, 000 are literal number and ethnicity driven. Revelation 7 mentioned the great multitude with all languages, people, tribes, and nation.

Notice tribes is included. Outside of the 12k the rest of the tribe will be in the great multitude that can’t be number.
