"All diesels" but the 2.5T Volvo is a petrol, the D5 is the diesel

I guarantee that the whole reason why these cars are for sale in the 1st place, is because the owner beforehand got fed up with spending a never ending amount of cash keeping the heap on the road.

You need a big set of plums to buy a £7k disco 💸

A disco with 100, 000 miles is going to cost a fortune in repairs. About as reliable as a dead dog.

We had a 04 xc90, upgrade to a 2013 last October and this October we are planning to get a 2017 this October, amazing vehicles.

My mum had a silver 2003 XC90, and then a black 2008 4.2TDI Q7 - kept it for a solid 8 years, got some major childhood throwbacks 😂

Check the AWD on the XC90, the splines in the transfer box tend to eat themselves so it's a whole new unit now as the decent 2nd hand ones have been snapped up and you can't buy the splined shaft on its own, communication between the ECU and the gearbox can be a bit dodgy too as water has a tendency to get in to the wiring plugs and the computers.

Iv got a range rover of the same year and they are pretty much the same as the disco...my air suspension is getting faults and it's also worth mentioning the gearboxes are weak, when these fail get ready for a nice bill

Do not buy any land rover with air suspension. Incredibly stupid to suggest to get it as it will leak at some point and then again and again and again. If you do buy one then when it leaks swap for coils as it's much more reliable.

I have owned 6 xc90's and i have to say, the d5 is a great engine but only does 9mpg if the swirl flaps are gone or the injectors are even slighlty damaged, the xc90 has the BEST 3rd row seats you can fit 7 6ft adults in one

The q7 is great but 3rd row seating is poor but watch out for the 4.2 v8 petrol you will spend 4 days changing a timing chain or cam belt.

The disco is great-expect a buggered gearbox and fragile electronics, it is poorly designed and the 3rd row seating is apalling-the boot space is also lack luster with all 7 seats compared to the q7 and especially the xc90

And not a single mention of reliability. There's a very good reason these cars are under 7k

Scandalous Fifth Gear would recommend such horrendous money pits. Parts on the Volvo are expensive though pale in comparison to the absolute money pits and reliability disaster that are the Q7 and the Disco 3.
