I think the Acura TSX 2004-08 is a great option for this list too, k24a2 engine so huge modding potential there if it can make boost. Can get manual ones, and it’s a Honda at the end of the day so it’s not gonna break your bank for maintenance

Volvo V70 T5 with the 260hp engine (05-07) has forged internals and is a great sleeper car, can easily be pushed to 400WHP with only some few external mods.

Huge potential for power with the LSJ, and a pretty decent amount of space for swaps if you want to.

I have a 2004 bmw 330ci. I got it for 3500 but after the pandemic theyre around 7k for one under 100k miles. The e46 line is one of the last super reliable eras of bmw before they really went plastic crazy. I got mine at 165k miles and im about to cross 200k and it has no major issues. Its a tank.
