🎤Apolipoprotein B-100 (ApoB) testing may be a better indicator of one’s heart disease risk than other cholesterol tests.

It only tracks the number of disease-promoting particles, says Levels Advisor @RobertLustigMD 👇

Not precisely true. Everyone deserves at least they once in a lifetime lipoprotein(a). And the frequency of it is one and five. Familial hypercholesterolemia at one in 500 is exceedingly rare compared to the most common of all the genetic inherited lipid disorders, lipoprotein(a) elevation at >30mg/dL (a.k.a. 75 nmol per liter), and especially when greater than 50 mg/dL (125 nmol per liter)
The risk of lipoprotein(a) cannot be detected by measuring apoB.
Dr. Lustig has some good information but he is a retired pediatric endocrinologist. I don’t think he’s particularly well-versed in adult lipidology.

Unpopular comment: a 5 mg of statins reduced my apo b by 35% with no side effects. I am sharp and strong at 62, do intense exercises with no muscle ache.

Apo B Is exactly what I had tested back in 2018 after learning the true theory from Journalists Adriano Panzironi after having been advised to take statins by my Doctor in the UK so I proved him wrong.

Is high cholesterol more dangerous if you have a stent?

Dr. Lustig, I have been following your work for a few years to get off food with sugar. As a normal weight mid age female who is active, I couldn’t make sense of my test results, fasting insulin is at 1, A1c at 5.8, apob 136, TC 328 and TG 39. Anything you can recommend for me to read?

If I have high APOB but I don't eat any sugars in my diet and mainly ear real foods and incorporate exercise really, does that mean I might have to get on statins?

My doctor doesn't draw for apo b in fact her blood drawers are very limited. I went in there with a list of different tests I want done from my blood and she said well even if I wanted to do these I couldn't because they're not in my system😮

So ApoB doesn't tell us whether we have high LDL, high triglicerides or both? How do we know which to treat?

Basically stop eating Doritos or not I could care less either way

Can someone spell out the drugs that he is on so I can do some research … thanks in advanced

He misspoke.
He said “the reason we draw both: Triglyceride and ApoB..”
He meant “the reason we draw both: triglyceride and cholesterol” which is what ApoB is as he also said: “a test for both species that cause cardiovascular disease”

Why is it now custom to mispronounce a lot of words like processes as processeze? I attribute it to poor quality education.

So, should people with high ApoB levels take statins?

So sad that a smart guy like this still buys into the lipid hypothesis crap.
