The Cornell Notes Method is pretty useful; used to just take notes and read through them as revision, but now I know nothing beats active recall

your videos are always so on point, I love it!
thank you so much!
also...
I've already been using the flow method for the past 2 months I guess and I do agree, It helps much better than just copying down professor's words from the lecture..

Could you please tell me which website or app you used for creating the mind map for Cardiology? like with Cardiology at the center und the main sections branching out from it? I´m referring to the part between 4:28 and 4:38

I have a doubt! Like I’m reading a textbook after every two- three paragraphs I would stop and recite the main key concepts what I have just learnt. So I just want to know how to incorporate Active recall while reading a textbook(academic)?

Hello how are. you! I hope you are doing okay !! I have a question, i am currently taking immunology right now in my undergrad. Along with this class i am taking other classes yet i make the most flashcards that relate to immunology. I have my anki folders organized per exam. Yet i feel as if this allows for alot of missed information. Would you recommend that i make flashcards per each lecture? or would that be too many flashcards, as this class meets every two days during the week. I would still organize the folders into exam one and two and so on yet within those i would have the individual lectures. Also, i have always hand written my notes, yet i dont feel like this is a best idea as when i make anki key flashcards, i have to make my own flash cards. Would you also recommend typing your notes, so that chatGbt can easily make these flashcards for you. Lastly, i have recently been overwhelmed by the amount of flash cards that i have made, what are your thoughts about avoiding the production of too many flashcards or to not be overwhelmed?

Thank you so much, i look up to you very much as i am applying for medical school next year!

Only problem with the Flow method is if the slides from the professor is shit or not as sometimes they will have nothing but images with no words. And you’ll have to record everything on your own.” Then which we’ll mean that if your focusing on what your trying to rephrase therefore thinking while the professor is talking your obviously going to be missing stuff. And some colleges don’t have recording of their lectures. So depending on the subject you’ll be shit out of luck or in luck if you can find stuff on YouTube or not depending on how specific the subject is or niche it is. So being able to write everything down of what the professor says is a necessary as if you miss something specific you’re screwed but it’s also a good skill to have when the notes given by the professor are actually useful to take a more relaxed approach like the flow method to make a more active approach in your learning.

I’ve had professors who told the class not to take notes during class.
