Nintendo is literally leaving money on the table by not having any legit way to buy these games. Emphasis on the word "buy" also.

I'm ok with buying these. As long as you know your purchasing bootleg unofficial cartridges of lower quality and they aren't selling them for ridiculous prices like some retailers. Especially those rare titles that are really expensive.

I'm a big Gameboy Micro fan so having the GBC games in GBA format was for me! You can get Metroid 2 DX as well

So, Minish Cap came out in the UK before the US. I found a repro on Ebay that I bought back then. It says Nontendo on the back, but everything else worked fine.

The Zelda GameBoy games likely runs the Goomba Color emulator should be easy to se by just hitting L and R sholder buttons for the menue.

Oh, I usually buy bootlegs from Ali Express too, especially snes and 64 games, I recently did an order for Game Boy Games (Since I ordered the Super Game Boy 2 from Japan), I also bought some GBA games, the reason I like to buy separate games is cause I focus more on each games when they are separate instead of having a whole bunch of them in one cartridge, I also enjoy the artwork, and I like that when I hit the power button the game just starts running, I'm not gonna break my bank buying the originals, cause a lot of originals for the stuff I got are very expensive, I just want to play them using my original Snes, or other systems I have.

I don't mind this at all. I generally just want to own "a cartridge." If it looks and plays right, just play a damn bootleg. 🤷‍♂️

Nintendo isn't making any more, and resellers are charging into the hundreds for many of the more desirable games.

The bezels on the links awakening is a nice touch.

Unless someone took a cartridge apart and put the fake into the original shell, the Gameboy Advance emboss above the sticker is a perfect failsafe giveaway that it's fake.

I actually did buy the three fake Zelda GameBoy games on GBA carts even though I have the legit ones. The DS Lite can't play GameBoy games. I don't really care for the emulators on them because you can't fit the screen. I understand why you wouldn't want to do that, but I'm 45 yo with middle aged eyesight. I have to blow up the screen to see it. If you have a GBA, you should get GB or GBC games because the games aren't being emulated and have other options.

The only thing is if you ever think about reselling you should pay attention to which ones are bootleg and separate them. Personally I would feel guilty selling bootlegs.

I am 100% pro bootleg and homebrew repro as long as

1. Bootlegs are clearly listed as not being authentic
2. It's fully functional and doesn't trip anti-piracy
3. The game is not currently in circulation at retail

I don't have any straight bootlegs (that I am aware of) of games that were sold at retail in the US, but I do have a ton of repro carts of fan translations and homebrew games. Bootlegs carts help keep retro gaming alive. But scammers trying to pass them off as the real deal with premium prices ruin it for everyone.

I picked up all the Pokémon carts for GB/GBA all under 40 bucks. Clearly bootleg but they all worked great, looked great and look pretty nifty in my collection.

My local retro store has an entire glass case dedicated to repro ROMs and such. I would totally be okay with buying these. The collector in me would have the official on the shelf and then I could bring these with me whenever I wanted to play on the actual console and I wasn't too worried about losing them.

Fwiw, the colors on those two advance wars carts were off too, so between the general glossiness, lack of stamped software versions, and color variations, it seems like the labels have many clues when hunting for bootlegs.

I actually am getting something from AliExpress. I am getting a Transformer Action Figure for my Stop Motion films.

Was that a legit GBA system you were using? Modded backlight? Custom skin? Love the OG GBA; one of the most comfortable handhelds ever.

I used to buy these back in 2011. Until my save file on final fantasy 4 corrupted and it stopped saving
