My mom just did this to me a couple of minutes ago...it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would but I did hear a lot of popping. I love how my mom thinks I'm crazy every time I come to her for help. Like when I asked her to help me dye half my hair red and now asking her to give me a cartilage piercing. Haha but she loves me unconditionally so she does it.

Use gloves, not your fingers, also remember to sanitize the area. You should also hole like a little flashlight up to your ear to see any veins so you don't pierce one! Your second cartilage piercing was awfully close the the Auriel nerve. And apparently that hurts like a little bitch to pierce.

Guys can I just say PLEASE DON'T PIERCE YOUR CARTILAGE AT HOME! get it done by a professional! I just came back from urgent care because I now have an infection and am on antibiotics. Despite cleaning the jewelry and using a sterile needle, I still wound up with an infection. Please stay safe and get it done professionally.

I do piercings, and you should sterilize with alcohal... not peroxide. and always sterilize even already sterilzed needles...

To be honest I'm so happy to know that piercing your cartilige is the same as how you'd do up from ur lobe, but also I'm 14 and I did my 4th piercings myeself, and I think not to brag, but I think I was more prepared and safe doing it than them lol (just never use an apple use a eraser bc apples can have bateria
