Hey Jennifer, here's what you can do: multiply the price cells by 0.5. So if you have a price listed in cell A1, in cell A2 you could enter this formula "=A1*0.5" (without the quotation marks). Or, if it's easier for you to remember, you could do "=A1/2" which divides by two. Either way calculates 50% of the price.

Hi armona1982 -- If I understand your question, by "500.00 Cell" you mean a cell that contains the value 500.00. For example, your total income for the week appears in a cell like B4 or C6. If that's the case, you don't need to use parentheses, so your formula could be =B4*50% or =B4*0.50. You only need to use parentheses when order of operations (mathematically) is an issue. Does that help?

If I understand, you're trying to make a cell show the percentage change from Q1 to Q2. The reason you're getting 5, 000% is that mathematically, 50 is 5000%. If you want Excel to show the percentage change, you need to divide instead of subtract. So, if 1st Q is cell A1 and 2nd Q is cell B1, you could put this formula into another cell: "=(B1/A1)-1". You can only find a percentage by dividing, and you need to subtract 1 to get the percentage change instead of just a proportion. Hope that helps!

Hi Sayed, sorry for the delayed response. If I understand your question, you still need to multiply, but only after you add a 1. So, your formula would be "=254*1.0589". Or, if it's formatted as a percentage already, you need to use 105.89% in order to add to the number. Mathematically, 1.0589 is 105.89%, so either works.

If I understand your question, you want to write this formula in cell a4: "=B2/A2" (remove quotes). You can definitely copy that formula, it just depends on what you're trying to do. I have a few videos that might help: How to Use Basic Copy and Paste, How to Copy Cells Using the Fill Handle, and How to Use Absolute and Relative references. You can find these videos on my channel. If those don't help, let me know a little more about how you want to copy and paste, and I'll let you know. Thanks!
