Thank you. This was very helpful. I noticed, though, that when I used the first method, i.e. =(value of interest/total value)*100, I got a more specific percentage total than when I used the percentage sign. In other words, the first method gave me 42.91% whereas the second method gave me 43%, so I think I prefer the first method, but I suppose it depends how precise an answer one is looking for whether it matters either way.

why for both second examples you use the percentage button? why not just use *100? or just use the % button for all examples?
