Brilliant performances and excellent choice to do the show mostly in Japanese. Incredible. It was not only authentic but because I don’t speak Japanese I could feel what the English sailors felt (helpless, confused etc).

At many points in Shogun I thought Toranaga would speak English. I think it's because we all know that Hiroyuki Sanada speaks English very well that we may expected that
