When we reviewed the Honda Element a few years ago, I never thought it would become a collector car. yet, here we are. People are lusting after these things. I think it has something to do with that Frutiger Aero style that people are getting nostalgic over.

If you crash two or more of them into each other, you get a Honda molecule.

I twice drove my ex's mother's Element for rugby road trips. I had a mild interest in them since 2004 or so when they were used in a Japanese kids show I was watching weekly, and getting the chance to drive one almost 12 years later was certainly worth risking the lives of myself and the other two passengers

Sold my Element a few months ago and I've kinda regretted it since. Though, mine was far from a "good" example anyway.

My family kept their element until 600k miles. Didn't want to spend the money on a third transmission and the original engine lost 2 quarts of oil every tank of gas.

Check for rust under all that plastic, especially the rear.

POV you wake up on a garage floor in the middle of a YouTuber's random car recommendation.

Clearly there's a market for vehicles like this again. If only the car industry had a chance to make stuff like this again.

I drove a manual Element before. The shifter was in an odd position but I kinda liked it

Tl;Dr Get yourself a Honda Element.

I had one. Awesome car! I absolutely adored Lenny, and he never left me stranded. Absolutely DO NOT BUY AN AUTO. It's the reason I had to get rid of my Lenny.

Cons:

The car is SLOW 101mph in nearly 3 mins of WOT.

It's terrible on gas. Like 12 mpg bad at times. Best I got was 22.

The suicide doors get obnoxious after a while.

There's tons of space, but hardly any built in storage.

Pros:

If you get AWD they're very capable and took me many places I was shocked it could go.

Amazing visibility since it's basically a tiny business.

Can double as a small pick-up with its split tailgate.

Tons of space in all four seats.

The car is an absolute blast to drive, using it to work, own, sit in, etc.

There's no limit to what you can do with these little toasters.

Suggestions if you buy one:
Get carpet. The vinyl flooring is slippery, loud, ugly, warps, and is SO hard to keep clean. And no, you cannot wash them out like an Aztec or jeep.

Get a 2011 F150 center console, as they fit very nicely in the Elements.
And finally, GET YOURSELF A HONDA ELEMENT. I guarantee it will be a car you'll never forget.

They're charming, fun, and if you own it for long enough, you'll find you just have to name it because these cars have so much character and personality.

I had two of these they both saved my life each time one got totaled by a piece of concrete falling out of the back of a truck another got smushed by a tree while I was driving it. The fuck are still ran until I turned it off and the only reason it wouldn't turn back on is because the battery was smooshed. I miss it every fucking day they were both five-speed manuals

I have my dad's 2007 Honda Element. He has had it since new, and it has been my first car since I learned to drive. It's been good to me, and I hope to keep it until the maintenance becomes too much, which may be a while since it's a Honda.

My brother has an AWD one with a 4 inch lift and 30.5" tires, it looks pretty badass.
