I am CONVINCED that this guy and Scott Prop and Roll are the same person. Right down to the terrible puns we love 😂

A lot of the newer drills also have kickback limiting and back off if the torque suddenly changes. Really helps with smashed fingers and wrenched wrists

That's why most modern combi drills come with additional handles that attach behind the chuck for additional leverage.

The one that came with one of my Makita drills is over 18 inches long... That drill dumps so much torque you still have to make sure youve got a good grip with both hands!

Back when I was doing satellite installs, I would use a brace with a 1/4" socket bit to screw the lag bolts into trees/walls/etc. I quickly learned to predrill my holes because that brace could torque the heads right off of 7/16" lag bolts like they were made of plastic.

I had to drill 4 inch holes in reinforced concrete block. None of my drills would do it. Borrowed the biggest DeWalt from another worker and driled the 4 inch holes with ease. I now own a big DeWalt 18v rated at 1200 inch pounds and a Flex 24v rated at 1400 inch pounds of torque. Both are a joy to use. Always have the right tool for the job. Love hand tool woodworking but I also love my power tools.

No apology needed - we know the drill.

Those new brushless drills help with the wrist-twisting: on those the trigger sets the speed and it ramps up the power to maintain that speed if needed. This means that you have much more control at low speeds.
None of that annoying speedup when you pull the drill back a bit

Thank you so much for your quick punny shorts. They're a great and entertaining way of learning about woodworking and all the tools. Keep it up, I'm bracing myself for more!

Took one black eye using a drill to run bolts in and ive learned how valuable that clutch setting is. I deal with metal mostly and the clutch has saved me countless bits when im in a bad position having troublle keeping it lined up

Your the first carpenter to make a slew of drilling hole puns without innuendo, maybe vaguely eluding to.

For the really big bits I just spot-weld them to my hubcap, lift the back of the truck, and put a brick on the gas. Then I've got the most powerful drill you're gonna find in a home shop!

I borrowed my co-worker's Milwaukee. It almost broke my wrist. I was instantly in love.❤❤
